LetsGetChecked will onboard 50 new people in Dublin, while Chargify plans to open a new EMEA headquarters in the city with 30 new hires.
Today (19 October), 80 new jobs were announced for Dublin as health-testing company LetsGetChecked and subscription-management platform Chargify each move forward with expansion plans.
Founded in Dublin in 2014, LetsGetChecked offers at-home health testing services. It initially offered hormone tests, fertility tests, HPV tests, STI testing kits and wellness tests, but recently began rolling out Covid-19 testing services using an at-home nasal swab and PCR lab analysis.
Earlier this year, the company secured $71m in Series C funding and last month it partnered with American Airlines to introduce pre-flight Covid tests.
According to its website, LetsGetChecked has provided more than 790,000 at-home test kits in the past five years and detected more than 26,000 infections.
The company announced last November that it would recruit 120 people in 2020 at its offices in New York and Dublin, bringing its headcount to around 250. To meet the ongoing surge in demand for tests, the Irish Times reported that LetsGetChecked is now creating an additional 50 new jobs in Dublin.
Chargify’s EMEA headquarters
Meanwhile, SaaS billing and subscription management platform Chargify has opened a new EMEA headquarters in Dublin. According to RTÉ, the Texas-based company said this would give it better access to markets in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, where 30pc of its customers are based.
Last year, it handled more than $2.9bn of billing for customers, experienced an increase of more than 180pc in product demand and more than doubled the size of its team.
Chargify currently employs 130 people in Texas and will hire 30 employees for its Dublin office by the end of 2022. Its immediate plan is to hire 10 new staff by the end of this year across engineering, business development, customer success and product.
The company’s CEO, Paul Lynch, is originally from Dublin. He noted the calibre of the city’s talent pool and said that it is the “best place to hire and expand from if you want to service the world’s leading companies”.
