The new jobs will be created at the company’s customer care centre in Castletroy.
Three Ireland has announced 175 jobs at its customer experience centre in Limerick. These positions are expected to be filled over the next four years.
The customer care centre was established in Limerick more than 20 years ago. The team here advises Three customers on ICT and internet of things (IoT) services and cost management.
The new hires will help support Three’s business customers in the UK, with the Irish operation exporting its customer experience services for the first time. The company said this is a key strategic objective for the Limerick team.
The company also said that further career development programmes and upskilling opportunities will be available to all new recruits.
“We are very excited to build on the high standard of talent we have,” said Three Ireland CEO Robert Finnegan. “This also underlines our commitment to Limerick as an employment hub into the long term.”
Both full and part-time roles will be available across a range of departments requiring varying levels of experience. Jobs will be available in customer care, operations and management, as well as team lead roles.
When filled, these new jobs will bring Three Ireland’s total workforce in Limerick to 570.
The expansion is supported by the Government through IDA Ireland. IDA CEO Martin Shanahan hailed the announcement as “terrific news” for the mid-west region.
“These new jobs further strengthen the company’s presence and commitment to Limerick and are a testament to the existing staff in Castletroy,” said Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, TD.
Last week, global engineering, tech and consulting provider Expleo announced plans to create 200 new highly skilled IT jobs along with the opening of regional hubs in Galway, Cork and Limerick.
On Monday, IT services and consulting company Avanade also announced 200 new jobs in Ireland in response to a major uptick in demand for its services.
