Irish ICT solutions provider Datapac has announced it is the only Irish company to make the MSPmentor 100, a research report that identifies the world’s top 100 managed service providers (MSPs).
The list includes MSPs from North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Australia. The list places Datapac 58 in the global top 100 and ninth in the European top 10.
The MSPmentor 100 report recognises the world’s top managed service providers based on a range of metrics, including annual managed services growth, revenue per employee and customer devices managed.
Commenting on the award, David Kirby, general manager of Datapac, said, “In recent years, we have been continually investing in our network operations centre, our service portfolio and our people, so that we could achieve a leadership position for managed services in the Irish market.”
Worldwide research for this report was conducted between October and December of last year.
“We continue to see accelerating momentum for the world’s top MSPs. The top 100 MSPs generated more than $1bn in recurring revenues for 2010, up 27pc from 2009. That’s remarkable growth considering the challenging global economic landscape in 2010,” explained Joe Panettieri, editorial director of MSPmentor.
The most recent research by MSPmentor revealed that the most popular managed services offered globally are business continuity/disaster recovery (94.4pc), help desk (93.6pc), remote administration (91.1pc), managed security (81.4pc) and managed storage (70.9pc).
The most popular cloud services offered are hosted/SaaS email (77.3pc), virtual servers in the cloud (67.1pc), software as a service (61pc), website hosting (56pc) and infrastructure as a service (54.3pc).
Datapac, which has offices in Dublin, Wexford and Belfast, provides more than 6,000 business customers with information technologies, business solutions and IT consumables portfolio in the country.
