Digiweb to double staff numbers to 120

Regional broadband player Digiweb is planning to double staff numbers to 120 over the next few months and is planning to open new offices in Dublin and Limerick.

The company, which provides a range of fixed and wireless broadband services, will be locating its new office at Citywest Business Campus and will support the company’s impending launch into the Dublin market.

“In March of this year we promised Digiweb would redefine broadband in Ireland before the end of 2005 and over the coming weeks we will make good on our promise,” claimed Digiweb managing director Colm Piercy.

“Our new network will redefine market expectations of broadband and telephony services in Ireland. These services will be a big hit and we’re looking for enthusiastic, motivated professionals to join our team for this exciting expansion.”

The new recruitment drive will staff the Dublin and Limerick offices and will add significantly to the team at Digiweb’s existing Dundalk and Waterford operations.

The company said the planned new telephony and broadband services will extend to more customers than existing broadband offerings can reach.

Interestingly, the company said the service will not require new customers to have a traditional phone line to avail of full telephone, broadband and enhanced media services.
