Fast-growing tech firm Intercom has signed a lease to take two more floors at its Stephen’s Green offices where it is creating 100 new jobs.
Business is booming for the company that has developed cutting edge technology, which enables online businesses to communicate directly with customers online.
In recent months, Intercom revealed plans to create 100 new jobs in Dublin after raising $50m in investment from top-tier Silicon Valley investors, including Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield.
In a new development, it has signed a lease with Irish Life for its offices in Stephen Court, St Stephen’s Green.
Moving on up
Having initially taken a lease on the 2nd floor and subsequently expanding into the basement and ground floor areas, the technology company has now signed a lease for the 1st and 3rd floors.
In total, it occupies approximately 51,000 sq ft at Stephen Court. Exact terms of the lease are not being disclosed.
The company, which is led by an Irish management team, has 13,000 paying customers in over 90 countries. This is up from 5,000 in April 2015, with clients ranging from start-ups like Expensify and Trunk Club to public companies like Rackspace and IBM.
Its operations are divided between Dublin and its San Francisco headquarters, with the majority of its design and development based in the Irish capital.
The company was founded in San Francisco by four Irishmen – Des Traynor, Ciaran Lee, Eoghan McCabe and David Barrett – but most of the company’s technology is made in Dublin, where the company currently employs 140 people at its Stephen’s Green offices. Worldwide, the company employs 250 people.
Paddy Conlon from CBRE, whose team represented the company, commented: “In a very tight office market, Stephen Court presented a great opportunity for Intercom to continue to grow its business in a flexible lease environment.
“The additional office space will allow Intercom to focus on the growth of its business.”
