Targeting the diaspora to bring investment to Ireland is working, says Jobs Minister RIchard Bruton TD

6D Global Technologies creates 60 jobs in Dublin

20 Aug 2015

New York-headquartered digital business company 6D Global Technologies is to create 60 new jobs at a new European operations hub in Dublin.

The hub will be the focus of NASDAQ-listed 6D’s international expansion beyond the US.

The key function of the Dublin operation will be sales and solutions support for the company’s growing European business.

The 60 jobs will be generated over the next three years.

Dublin was the logical choice

“We are seeing a tremendous demand from our customers to have one digital solution partner that is positioned to support their growth globally,” said Tejune Kang, CEO of 6D Global Technologies.

“Our global customer footprint makes it increasingly important for us to offer local representation to our customers around the world. When we assessed where to establish our European base of operations, Ireland was a logical choice given its growing reputation in driving world-class innovation and access to talent. Ireland is a perfect springboard into 6D Global’s growth internationally.”

6D Global was introduced to Ireland through ConnectIreland, the company responsible for delivering the Government’s Succeed in Ireland initiative, as part of the Action Plan for Jobs, in association with IDA Ireland.

“It is great to see another 60 jobs being created through the Succeed in Ireland initiative,” Joanna Murphy, CEO of ConnectIreland said.

“6D Global is a leader in digital solutions and Dublin offers the perfect tech infrastructure to support their expansion.”

The news was also welcomed by Jobs Minister Richard Bruton, who said the investment demonstrates how reaching out to the Irish diaspora is crucial for winning investment.

“Once again our top-class workforce and support for businesses are making Ireland the destination of choice for companies looking to establish a European base,” Minister Bruton said.
