Dublin-headquartered MTT, which enables the digital transformation of airlines and travel companies, is to create 70 new jobs across its technical and commercial teams over the next six months.
MTT was founded in Dublin 2005 and last year it was acquired by Travelport, one of the biggest technology enablers in the travel sector, which works with 400 airlines and 68,000 travel agents around the world.
The Dublin company creates technologies that allow travel management companies and travel agencies to interact with their customers through sophisticated, tailored, multi-device services.
For example, its technology touches on every episode of the travel experience, from research and booking to baggage and check-in to in-flight entertainment and destination guides.
‘Travel is an $8 trillion industry, representing approximately 10pc of the global GDP and, as the appetite for multi-device services from travellers increases exponentially, the opportunities for mobile travel are vast’
– BRYAN CONWAY, MTT
In the past year alone, MTT launched multi-device apps for Singapore Airlines and one of the first airline apps on the Apple Watch with EasyJet.
2016 will see MTT make further investments in new product development and innovation and expand its international footprint.
“Travel is an $8 trillion industry, representing approximately 10pc of the global GDP and, as the appetite for multi-device services from travellers increases exponentially, the opportunities for mobile travel are vast,” said MTT’s interim CEO Bryan Conway.
“MTT continues to be a pioneer in this sector and our commitment to market leadership and innovation ensures an exciting, fast-paced and rewarding work environment for our expanding team with excellent opportunities for career development,” Conway said.
