Professional services company Accenture has announced a further 250 jobs for 2016, on top of 200 announced last September, rounding out to 450 jobs announced in just a few months.
It seems Irish expansion is the name of the game for Accenture as it has announced a new batch of 250 jobs just over three months after it revealed plans to hire 200 people in 2016.
Late last September, €25m was put into a new centre for innovation in Dublin, with the 200 roles at the time planned for areas such as cognitive computing, IoT, advanced analytics, security and digital marketing.
The 250 new positions – to be filled by September – will span a wide range of skills and capabilities, with data and digital skills, in particular, demand.
“Accenture is recruiting to meet client demand fuelled by the return to economic growth that we have seen in 2015 and we expect that to continue into the year ahead,” said Alastair Blair, Accenture’s country managing director in Ireland.
