CPL has announced plans to recruit a total of 200 people in its Irish and foreign branches over the next two years across various roles.
CPL is one of Ireland’s largest recruitment agencies with a total of 550 staff across nine countries, with additional offices in the UK and Eastern Europe, as well as its offices in Ireland.
Announcing its intentions, CPL said that there will be a number of roles being offered over the next two years for senior positions in both sales and digital capacities.
Meanwhile, further lower-level jobs will be offered in the roles of recruitment, sales and marketing.
Speaking of the announcement, CPL’s chief executive Anne Heraty said: “There’s been a strong uplift in business, which is why we are hiring so many people. We work with both Irish and international companies, many of which are expanding, both in Ireland and abroad.
“It’s clear that confidence is on the rise in Irish businesses. Earlier this month, the European Commission predicted Irish GDP growth of 6pc, so most businesses are seeking to increase their headcount.”
Despite the apparent good fortune of the company with this jobs announcement, its profits have declined over the last year.
According to The Irish Times, the company posted a pre-tax profit as of 30 June this year of €14.1m, which is down 2pc on 2014.
It has, however, posted a growth in revenue of 6.6pc on the previous year, growing from €369.2m to €393.6m.
