Digiweb have brought forward plans to recruit over 200 workers over three years, with 40 new staff expected to be taken on by the end of August.
The recruitment drive for 200 staff was announced in March 2007 following the launch of Digiweb’s data centre and Blanchardstown offices. The company said it is delighted to be exceeding timeframes for recruitment. The company has recruited more than 70 new staff so far in 2008 in technical, accounting, customer service and sales positions.
It currently has over 40 vacant positions mainly in IT and sales, primarily based at its Blanchardstown and Dundalk offices.
“We’ve had to create a number of new positions to ensure we meet targets for building our mobile broadband network, the development of our hosting and data centre services and to assist us in our plans to enter new markets,” said Colm Piercy, CEO, Digiweb.
“We have a very clear business plan and we realise that the right Digiweb staff are key to meeting our growth objectives.”
