Telecommunications network O2 and Ireland’s national education and research network HEAnet have teamed up to provide half-price internet connectivity to third-level students and staff.

The offer comes with a choice of €9.99 per month for a free modem and 15GB internet on a 12-month contract, or a mobile Wi-Fi device called the Hotshot to connect up to eight devices at once for €29. Shorter six or nine-month contracts are also available.

Students and staff at HEAnet member institutions – which includes universities, institutes of technology and other third-level education and research organisations – can all avail of this offer by signing up on campus, in-store or online.
