Industrial Info Resources (IIR) today announced the creation of 50 new jobs in Galway, expected to come online over a five-year period.
The jobs, which will be based in the market research company’s new offices in Ballybrit, Galway, will effectively double the IIR workforce, and will encompass roles in IT, finance, research, admin and customer service.
Speaking at the launch, Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said: “It is always very gratifying to hear of a company that has set up in Ireland having been successful enough to develop and grow its operations and workforce as IIR is doing… It’s a great endorsement of Galway and the west as an excellent location for global business services companies to locate in.”
The IIR site in Galway is the company’s international hub, handling all markets outside of the US.
IIR carries out fact-based market research on industrial processing, heavy manufacturing and energy-related industries worldwide.
Research is then disseminated to interested parties through web-based solutions.
The jobs announcement comes as the Texas-headquartered IIR plans to expand market coverage to incorporate oil and gas, pharmaceutical and biotech, and industrial manufacturing.
IIR has had a presence in Ireland since the company originally came to Galway in 2010.
Updated 29 July 2015 at 9.10am to include details of the specific roles IIR will be hoping to fill.
