NASA has announced the postponement of the launch of space shuttle Discovery to no earlier than 30 November at 4.05am.
The space agency hopes this time can be used to have engineers and technicians diagnose and repair a faulty hydrogen gas leak to the external fuel tank that halted during the scheduled launch, which was discovered during “de-tanking” operations.
The shuttle was set to launch last Friday but was postponed due to bad weather.
Discovery was to shuttle NASA’s robotic astronaut – Robonaut 2 – to the International Space Station along with other supplies.
