Hacker group Anonymous has struck again, this time releasing emails belonging to Bank of America. The emails relate to alleged discussions around the removal of documents from loan files for a group of insured properties.
It is understood that Anonymous, the hacker group sympathetic to WikiLeaks, obtained the emails from a former Bank of America employee.
The emails, belonging to a Bank of America insurance unit called Balboa Insurance, are alleged by Anonymous to relate to the issue of whether Bank of America improperly foreclosed on homes.
Bank of America denies the documents are related to foreclosures, insisting they are clerical and administrative documents, according to a report on Reuters.
