BearingPoint has been selected to play a leading role in the development and roll out of the new Irish postcode system, it emerged this morning.
Working with Autoaddress and Capita, BearingPoint will play a key role in the roll out of a new system that will provide a unique seven-character code to every letter box in the State by 2015.
Under the new system, Ireland will be the first country in the world to have a postcode that uniquely identifies all properties.
This will assist individuals, public-service bodies and businesses to accurately locate homes and businesses in Ireland.
