Irish Motorola Xoom owners will soon get to use Android 3.1, as Motorola rolls out the update across the country from today. It will also activate the SD card slot.
The Android 3.1 update will bring improved multitasking to offer a visual access of a larger number of applications.
Home-screen widgets are now resizable and the update offers keyboard, game controller and mouse support over USB and Bluetooth.
Users can connect their cameras to the Xoom over USB and import their photos to the gallery with one touch.
Apps can maintain Wi-Fi connections when the screen is off. Adobe Flash Player is also preloaded into the update.
There is support for SD cards, offering expandable memory for up to 32GB.
The Motorola Xoom has been available since June in Ireland.
