After eight years, Microsoft’s next-generation games console Xbox One is reaching consumers’ hands today as it begins to go on sale, and memes are questioning if it has been worth the wait.
The Xbox One comes with an eight-core x86 processor with an 853MHz GPU clock speed, built-in Wi-Fi, and 8GB DDR3 RAM, which is about 15 times the amount of RAM in the Xbox 360.
The console will play Blu-ray discs, DVDs, and CDs, and downloaded games can be redownloaded and played anywhere.
One notable gripe from consumers, however, is the fact the Xbox One won’t play old Xbox 360, original Xbox, or Xbox Live Arcade titles (either discs or digital).
Despite this, if the number of pre-orders for the Xbox One are any indication, sales of the console should be swift.
