Just in time for the marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton on 29 April comes A Modern Fairy Tale: William, Kate, and Three Generations of Royal Love, an e-book about royal weddings.
A Modern Fairy Tale: William, Kate, and Three Generations of Royal Love, published by Hyperion, tells the story of how William and Kate grew up and fell in love.
The e-book also contains photos, text by novelist Jane Green and almost half an hour’s worth of video. The video clips are from US broadcaster ABC’s archives, and US broadcaster Barbara Walters provides a video foreword.
Eight chapters cover the lives and relationship of William and Kate, as well as those of William’s father and mother, Prince Charles, and Diana, Princess of Wales, and his paternal grandparents, Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip. Video footage highlights these weddings, and the e-book will updated with moments from William and Kate’s big day. That download will be available for free.
Archival photos also provide a look back at the royal weddings and a timeline marks events in the lives of William and Kate up until their engagement in November.
A Modern Fairy Tale: William, Kate, and Three Generations of Royal Love is now available for download from iTunes. It cost US$7.99, for the iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. A text-and-photo only version of the e-book is available for e-readers that don’t support video.
