East Point, which successfully hosted last year’s jobs fair that attracted more than 1,500 interested candidates for 200 roles on offer, will be hosting another event on 25 March 2011 for companies based at the established docklands office park near Dublin city centre.
The latest jobs fair will include a careers and education section, where many of Ireland’s top third-level institutions and professional bodies will be on hand with careers and education advice.
Seven leading multinational companies have confirmed the availability of more than 200 new job vacancies in the IT, financial services, telecommunications, shared services and aviation sectors. The companies hiring include Oracle, Whirlpool, Citrix, Arvato, Ergo and Global Tele Sales (a Lufthansa company) and are targeting graduates and experienced professionals for roles in IT sales and business development, technical support, accounting and finance, project management, as well as customer service personnel with European languages.
One of the world’s largest online companies, which will be offering more than half of these roles, will have two recruitment companies present, recruiting data analysts with foreign language skills. All job vacancies will be for full-time positions or fixed-term contracts.
Among the leading third-level institutions and professional bodies attending are UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate School, Trinity College, Dublin Business School, DIT, National College of Ireland, DCU, ACCA, CIMA and CPA.

Representatives from the companies hiring will be available to speak with interested candidates about the roles on offer and how best to apply. It is advisable that candidates attending the jobs fair bring up-to-date copies of their CV.

The EastPoint Jobs and Careers Fair will take place at Estuary House in EastPoint, Dublin 3, from 10.30am-2.30pm, with a later session from 4.30pm -7.30pm to facilitate anyone with daytime or existing work commitments.
EastPoint is a 10-minute walk from The Point Luas station and Clontarf DART station. There is also a free, regular shuttle bus service to and from the Point Luas station and Clontarf DART station.
