Wicklow-based energy services provider Crowley Carbon recently inked a deal with Emrill in Dubai to deploy its smart building technology to some of the tallest buildings in the world from its Powerscourt carbon control centre.
The deal is said to be worth €64m over the next three years and will see Crowley Carbon deliver services and products in the areas of HVAC, chilling, refrigeration, motive power, lighting and renewable energy. To facilitate this new contract, 35 jobs have been created at the Powerscourt centre, including positions for engineers and project managers.
Crowley Carbon has offices in Ireland, London and Sydney, and claims to cut energy costs by up to 30pc. Clients in Ireland include Vodafone, Dawn Foods, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson.
Emrill is one of the largest facilities management companies in the Middle East. It is a joint venture between two property giants, one of which owns Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, and Dubai Mall, the largest shopping mall in the world.
