IT support firm Aspira is to create 50 jobs at its Cork and Dublin operations over the next 18 months following a year of major growth.
With its main operations in Euro Business Park in Cork, Aspira also has an office on Sir John Rogerson’s Quay, where it provides platforms for IT in sectors including finance, enterprise, medical devices and the energy sector.
According to RTÉ, the company plans to hire staff in the roles of project managers, business analysts and software developers spread across the next 18 months and both of its Irish offices.
Currently employing 28 people, Aspira was founded back in 2007 as AspiraCon, but has since changed its name as part of a major re-branding.
The company also achieved considerable success in 2015 having been named among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for two successive years.
Sales to double over next three years
The decision to hire 50 staff comes following a year in which it recorded growth of 65pc following a number of successful deals signed with clients.
Aspira also announced that its financial growth has allowed it to confirm the acquisition of fellow Cork IT group B-TEC Solutions, which will allow the company to expand its product range.
Speaking of the announcement, Aspira’s chief executive, Pat Lucey, said: “The new roles we are announcing today will strengthen our delivery capability and our management team at a time when we are bolstering our service offerings, and preparing for expansion to international markets.
“We forecast overall sales to more than double over the next three years, with international sales growing faster again.”
