Italian advertising tech company Chameleon Advertising Technologies (Chameleon AD) has announced plans to open a new hub in Dublin 8, creating 21 jobs.
Chameleon Advertising Technologies has decided to move most of its operations to Ireland, where it will be opening its new hub in the Guinness Enterprise Centre, which will have responsibility for all business activities, including software development, sales and marketing support for expansion into new markets.
Founded as a new technology start-up in 2012, Chameleon AD has developed a native advertising platform as well as offering an ad server for native advertising with the aim of providing a better advertising and site user experience.
The company is majority owned and co-founded by Italian entrepreneur Carlo Petito, who will be moving to the new Irish hub and will be joined by the company’s CEO Roy Bellingham.
Their decision to move to Ireland came as part of the ConnectIreland initiative, which encourages the Irish diaspora to entice businesses abroad to move their operations here, with promises of a cash reward to those who are successful in their encouragement.
In this case, Niall O’Connor from Dublin travelled on a business trip to Rome, where he met with Petito and tried to convince him to move to his own city of Dublin, which he managed to do.
Speaking of the decision to move to Dublin, Petito said: “We chose Dublin and Ireland because of the positive business environment, the infrastructure for growth, staff availability and support structures for finance, as well as company set-up.
“The networking opportunities and competitive corporation tax rate were also factors. There is an optimistic feeling about Dublin, be it from a business perspective or across the social environment.”
