Medical devices firm ClearStream Technologies has announced it will create 70 new jobs in Wexford over the next three years.
As part of a major expansion plan, the Irish-owned company will create the new jobs in Enniscorthy. The positions will be in product engineering, research and development, manufacturing, and sales and marketing.
ClearStream Technologies already employs 230 workers and designs and manufactures medical devices, such as catheters and stents.
Chief executive of ClearStream Technologies, Andy Jones, said, “We are currently embarking on phase 2 of the expansion to our production capacity to meet the growing demand for the latest generation of our products.”
He also welcomed the support from Enterprise Ireland.
Enterprise Ireland’s Frank Ryan said, “Investment in research and development is critical to the continued global success of Irish exporting firms, particularly those in technology-led sectors such as medical technologies.”
