The Digital Marketing Institute is to create 39 new jobs over the next 18 months to support its global expansion. The jobs will be primarily based in Ireland.
The Digital Marketing Institute, which was founded in 2008, is based in Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin. The institute has grown from two to 15 employees.
Initially delivering education programmes in Ireland, the institute now exports its accredited training programmes to the UK, South Africa, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Cyprus and Estonia.
“We started the company to specifically address the lack of digital marketing knowledge within the traditional business education,” said Anthony Quigley, MD of the Digital Marketing Institute.
“We soon noticed that an increasing number of our students were coming from overseas – UAE, Brazil, Kenya, India and Germany, to name a few countries. So, we thought – why not bring our expertise to them instead? The new jobs that we are announcing are a result of the literally exponential demand for our training programmes abroad.”
The Digital Marketing Institute offers training programmes and certification in digital marketing, which refers to how companies use the internet to promote their business through digital marketing channels, such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, mobile devices and social media platforms. Students of the institute learn how they can use digital marketing to enhance business performance.
