Kildare boost as Endress+Hauser announces new international hub

A new international SAP IT hub created in Kill, Co Kildare will see Swiss process automation company Endress+Hauser bring 20 jobs to the area.

A new five-year plan from Endress+Hauser will see 20 highly-skilled software roles created in Kill, Co Kildare, almost doubling the company’s workforce in Ireland.

With a local sales and service centre in Kill, as well as a satellite office in Cork – both serving its domestic Irish client base – the new hub will help the company serve eight other markets in Europe.

Endress+Hauser specialises in process automation products, solutions and services across pressure, level, flow, analytics and temperature, with clients in everything from packaging and pharmaceuticals to water and exploratory industries. The 20 new roles will be in SAP software and financial management.

The GM of the company’s Irish operation, Christopher Roche, said he was “proud” that Ireland was chosen as the hub, noting a “strong focus on innovation and R&D” at the facility.

“Choosing Ireland as the location for this hub also shows Endress+Hauser’s commitment to their operations in Ireland, which will only grow in the future,” he said.

It has been a busy week for jobs announcements in Ireland. Yesterday, it was announced that Medical device company Proxy Biomedical is putting €3.5m into an expansion at its facilities in Galway, with 35 jobs to follow.

Elsewhere, Sigmar Recruitment is planning a major drive to up its staff count, adding 150 to its currently 120-strong team by the end of 2018.

Looking to hire in Cork, Galway, and Kerry, as well as at its Dublin base, Sigmar Recruitment will fill the first 50 of the 150 total jobs by the end of this year, with an additional 50 each year until 2018.

Cork-based Compliance & Risks has revealed it will be adding 50 new jobs to its workforce over the next three years while, in Dublin, Johnson Hana International, a company that outsources legal services, is expanding in the coming 18 months by adding 200 to its workforce.
