IT company Equifax has opened a new talent centre in Dublin, with more than 100 “highly-skilled R&D positions” gradually coming on stream at the Sir John Rogerson’s Quay facility.
Equifax’s new Dublin centre is the second premise in Ireland for the company, with Wexford already home to a hub that houses its database management, customer and consumer activities in relation to its consumer credit referencing services for UK-based clients.
With 90 staff, the Wexford site has been in operation for more than 20 years, but the new centre will more than double the company’s workforce in the country.

Calling the move to Dublin “a big bet”, Equifax’s Paul O’Dwyer has followed suit with many job announcements in Ireland, claiming the “technology talent pool is strong” and the market can support Equifax’s introduction.

The news follows a fine Monday outside of the capital, with Hortonworks bringing 50 positions to Cork, Fortuity topping that up with 10 more and Galway benefiting from an IT merger with 100 roles on the back of newly formed Intuity.
