Guidewire opens new Dublin EMEA HQ, creating 150 hybrid jobs in Ireland

23 Mar 2022

Ireland has played a ‘central’ role in the company’s international expansion over the last decade, with cloud and product development teams in Dublin.

US software company Guidewire plans to create 150 hybrid roles in Ireland following the opening of its new EMEA HQ in Blanchardstown.

The company is actively hiring across a range of positions, including entry-level graduate roles, business analysts, cloud operations, consulting managers, engineering, HR and recruitment, project managers, specialist cloud transition roles and technology consultants.

Guidewire already has around 450 staff across its Irish operation and it is planning to increase this to 600 over the next two to three years. While its office is based in Blanchardstown in Dublin, the roles will be fully flexible and are open to people all across Ireland.

Guidewire provides cloud-based software to more than 450 property and casualty insurers, such as Alliance Insurance, Aviva UK, American National, MetLife and Zurich Insurance.

Since it opened its first office in Ireland 10 years ago, Guidewire’s Dublin base has grown to become its largest employee community in Europe and outside of the US. It also has offices in California, Madrid, London, Sydney, Chennai, Kraków, Kuala Lumpur, Exton and Mississauga.

The new 85,000 sq ft office building in Dublin includes an executive briefing centre for customers and partnes across the EMEA region.

“This is an exciting moment for Guidewire in Ireland as we open our new EMEA HQ, reflecting the enormous contribution of our team to the Guidewire corporate and customer community,” said Niall Lalor, Ireland country manager for Guidewire.

Lalor added that he is “hugely proud” Guidewire has retained its “strong sense of identity and close-knit culture” throughout its decade in Ireland.

“We’ve still only scratched the surface and look forward to growing our talented team even more across the country, with Guidewire in Dublin well placed as a hub for innovation that supports our business both in EMEA and globally.”

Mike Rosenbaum, the company’s CEO, said Ireland “has been central to Guidewire’s international growth” over the past 10 years. The company’s Irish operations include customer and cloud operations, delivery services and product development.
