Engineering company LotusWorks is adding 100 staff to its 470-strong workforce in Sligo, with 50 to be in place by Christmas.
A specialist technical and engineering company, LotusWorks’ head office is in Sligo, and the split of the 100 new roles will be 50 by year end, with the latter 50 coming throughout 2017.
Seeking professionals in both technical and engineering roles, LotusWorks’ growing client list across Ireland, Europe, North America and Asia has led to the need to expand.
In 2015, the company doubled revenue and its focus was on adding new clients in growth sectors. Two new contracts have been signed in the past two months with world-leading clients in the data centre and automotive sectors.
The company’s COO Tom Cafferkey claims expected growth in areas like data centres, the biopharma industry and advanced technology sectors means his company is preparing itself for a windfall of business.
“In the coming months, we will focus efforts on recruiting the best technical and engineering talent available. We’ve great people on teams across the world working with world-leading manufacturers.
“It’s their hard work that has built LotusWorks’ reputation as a ‘best-in-class’ technical and engineering service organisation.”
The company already has a strong presence in Europe and the US and, over the last few months, has also established a presence in Singapore as it gets ready to support existing and new customers in the life sciences, data centres and high-tech clients’ sectors in the region.
