SAP expands in Dublin, hiring 100 people

7 Jul 2011

Global business software provider SAP is signing a lease on a new 1,350 sq-metre facility in Citywest, Dublin, and recruitment of 100 people is now under way in both Dublin and Galway.

Supported by IDA Ireland, the new facility and previously announced jobs are a result of the expansion of SAP’s capability to provide technical support and research and development for international clients.

SAP develops software applications that enable companies to run operations, including finance, customer relationship management, human resources and supply chain management, more efficiently.

Employing more than 1,100 people, the Irish operation is one of the SAP’s largest global delivery centres. The jobs being recruited for are in a range of areas, including engineering, administration and software development.

Liam Ryan, managing director, SAP Ireland, said its growth in Ireland was “very much on track”.

“Current activities in Ireland include the provision of services and support for our customer base in EMEA and the US. Ireland provides the best in talent and its excellent workforce is one of the key factors in SAP’s continued recruitment here.”
