A Texas-based telecommunications company is expected to announce the creation of 100 jobs over the next three years in Galway today.
The company, which has operations in 50 countries. is to set up its international headquarters and business services centre in Galway.
The IDA supported venture represents an €8m investment by the company, which provides digital infrastructure and services for the telecommunications industry.
The first of the 100 jobs will be coming before Christmas, and the positions involve roles in software development, customer support, finance and administration.
Minister Éamon Ó Cuív is to make the jobs announcement this afternoon, following the arrival of the company’s US president in Ireland.
