Antylia Scientific will hire in the areas of process and medical device engineering, manufacturing, logistics and supply chain.
US-headquartered biotech company Antylia Scientific will establish a new bioprocessing facility in Co Westmeath.
The new state-of-the-art manufacturing centre will create 60 new roles in the areas of process and medical device engineering, manufacturing as well as logistics and supply chain.
Antylia Scientific produces peristaltic and bioprocessing solutions and has a diverse portfolio of life sciences and diagnostic products for the pharma, biopharma, healthcare and environmental markets. The company’s Masterflex business produces peristaltic pumps and pump systems.
The new bioprocessing facility in Ireland will be used to design and manufacture Masterflex’s peristaltic technologies, which are used in pharmaceutical and bioprocessing workflows for the development and production of vaccines and therapeutics.
The facility will also include a large warehouse space to store components and finished products.
This investment is expected expand access to these critical fluid path products and provide customers with shorter lead times, simplified sourcing and validation, and increased supply.

Minister for Trade Promotion, Digital and Company Regulation Robert Troy, TD, said the announcement is a strong endorsement for the midlands. “Our highly skilled workforce is just one reason why Ireland is recognised as a global hub for leading biopharmaceutical companies like Antylia Scientific,” he said.
IDA Ireland’s CEO, Martin Shanahan, added: “Antylia Scientific’s significant investment in its Mullingar facility based at the National Science Park demonstrates the company’s commitment to the midlands region.”
