Aphix Software announces 25 jobs for Drogheda after successful year

19 May 2017

Aphix Software – provider of fintech software for companies – is to create 25 jobs in Drogheda after a ‘very successful year’.

2016 proved to be a lucrative year for Aphix Software, so much so that the company aims to triple its growth in 2017 with rapid expansion into the UK market.

The company’s aim is to help wholesalers reduce costs, enhance customer experience and scale globally using its flexible, real-time ordering platform.

In a statement on its future, Aphix Software said this success has allowed it to begin the recruitment of 25 new staff, starting immediately, with plans for the roles to be filled within the next three years.

All of the jobs will be based at its headquarters in Millbank, Drogheda, and will be in the areas of software engineering and development, and customer support.

Aphix Software said the new positions will support the demand for its platform, delivering on-order systems and processing for wholesalers across the UK and Ireland.

Speaking of the company’s plans, co-founder and CTO Graham O’Rourke said that the effects of Brexit will not deter Aphix Software from entering the market of Ireland’s neighbour.

“While Brexit poses a serious threat to wholesalers in the UK and Ireland, it also makes it more important than ever to invest in digital solutions including web and app ordering,” he said.

“We can help wholesalers achieve competition advantage, significantly reduce costs and increase online sales.”

Along with the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, the announcement has been supported by Enterprise Ireland, which commended the company’s recent success.

“Enterprise Ireland has worked closely with Aphix Software over the past year and seen first-hand how the company has gone from strength to strength,” said Joe Healy, manager of its High-Potential Start-Ups division.

He added: “Enterprise Ireland looks forward to working with Aphix Software to continue to support their growth ambitions as they expand their reach even further into the UK market and beyond.”
