The Antrim-based engineering company is investing in machinery and plans to take on 10 new staff members.
Family business Warwick Engineering supplies and installs structural steel, composite and architectural cladding systems, as well as bespoke metalwork packages.
With the support of Invest NI, which offered the Ballymena-based company £70,000, Warwick Engineering is looking to build its customer base and employ 10 new staff members.
“This investment marks a significant development for the business as we look to build on last year’s sales,” said company director Cecil Warwick.
It seems the investment has already proved fruitful for the company, which recently secured a contract in London worth approximately £1.7m.
Warwick said enhancing the company’s workforce would “bring important new skill sets to the business”, allowing it to pursue new opportunities.
The 10 new jobs will generate £262,000 in additional salaries to the local economy annually.
“Warwick Engineering is a valued family business in Ballymena and this expansion is positive news for the mid and east Antrim council area,” said Damian McAuley, Invest NI’s director of advanced engineering and construction.
“Investing in additional resources and equipment will strengthen Warwick’s capabilities and support the continued growth of the business in its target markets,” he said.
Warwick Engineering was established over 20 years ago. Since then, it has provided steel and metal products for projects and buildings across Ireland, the UK and Europe.
Some of its most notable projects include the main feature spiral staircase in the Victoria Square shopping centre in Belfast and the stainless steel and glass barriers of The Gasworks apartments in Dublin.
