After announcing a move to its new office in The Digital Hub, Irish start-up Bizimply has secured €2m in funding, which will allow it to double its workforce from 14 to 28.
Bizimply has gone from strength-to-strength since winning the ESB’s Spark of Genius Award at the Web Summit last year and the online workforce management application for restaurants and retail businesses will now be doubling its workforce over the next year.
Just yesterday (5 April), the four-year-old company was named as one of seven companies moving into new offices at The Digital Hub, and now, according to The Irish Times, it has managed to secure €2m in funding to recruit 14 new staff, largely at its new Dublin office.
These new jobs will primarily be based in its sales and marketing divisions, the company revealed.

Moving to the next level
Leading this particular funding round was the Anglo-Irish private equity fund Causeway Capital, alongside Silicon Valley VC fund 500 Startups.
Speaking of the successful funding, Bizimply’s co-founder and CEO, Gerard Forde, said: “We have been growing rapidly over the past 12 months, with interest from businesses all around the world.
“The investment by Causeway Capital and 500 Startups will enable us to really scale the business and expand our team as we move to the next level.”
Today’s news might not come as a surprise to some as the start-up was included in Siliconrepublic.com’s list of 21 start-ups to follow this year.
