CloudMigrator365, an IT services company based in Manchester, has revealed plans to establish offices in Belfast, creating 17 new jobs by 2018.
Offering cloud migration services, consultancy services and software products to a global customer base, CloudMigrator365’s expansion into Belfast comes in response to available talent in the region.
That’s according to Simon Hamilton, Northern Ireland’s economy minister, who claims the 17 jobs will pay an average salary of £34,000, “providing high-quality well-paid employment opportunities for our talented graduates, as well as experienced professionals in the ICT sector”.
Hamilton thinks Northern Ireland is gaining a “well-deserved reputation” as a region with a good environment for tech companies, noting “flourishing clusters” of cybersecurity, fintech and data firms.
“The global market for cloud services is expected to grow exponentially over the next decade – this investment puts Belfast at the centre of CloudMigrator365’s development strategy,” he said.
Antrim native Darren Mawhinney is MD of CloudMigrator365, with Northern Ireland’s local expertise part of the reason why the company is opening these offices.
The new jobs will be in tech sales, development and support areas.
“While CloudMigrator365 is established across worldwide markets, we see an opportunity to grow our partner sales channel, build on our capabilities to sell and deliver migration services, and ensure our marketing messages reach as wide a global audience as possible,” said Mawhinney.
