Eyefinity is relocating its EMEA headquarters to Dublin, while Clearplas is opening its first plastic separation, sorting and cleaning facility in Meath, creating a total of 39 jobs.
Eyefinity, the company that provides tech support and solutions to the optical industry, is recruiting 20 people as early as this January to fill roles in management, software engineering and industrial design.
The company is establishing a software development operation and innovation and design entity at its base in the DCU Innovation Campus, Glasnevin, Dublin.
Eyefinity is a developer of e-commerce and practice management solutions, and electronic medical records software for the optical industry. The Eyefinity website links doctors directly to optical labs, frame and lens suppliers, and insurance carriers.
Meanwhile, Clearplas’ new Navan facility, located in the Gaeltacht area of Baile Ghib, will bring 19 jobs to the area. The facility will sort mixed dry plastics for use in manufacturing, as well as reprocessing plastic products for Europe and Asia.
Recruitment will begin immediately to fill the technical and administrative positions that will become available in the coming year.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny welcomed the jobs announcements, which were created through a ConnectIreland initiative, Succeed in Ireland.
“The value we place on every job created is why ConnectIreland’s success to date is to be celebrated,” he said.
“It is a great credit to the diaspora and connectors worldwide that 1,000 new jobs have been brought to Ireland since its launch.”
