Cork is set for a double dose of good news on the jobs front today (20 September), with both Voxpro and the Bon Secours private hospital primed for expansions.
An exporter of multilingual business process outsourcing services, Voxpro’s news is expected to be announced later today, with Taoiseach Enda Kenny on the way down to Cork for the announcement.
Voxpro is an award-winning company that operates from three purpose-built facilities in Cork, an office in Dublin, an international office in San Francisco and operations in Sacramento.
The company delivers customer contact solutions on behalf of more than 100 companies and organisations worldwide, including Google, Nest and Airbnb. It upped its employee numbers to 850 following an announcement just 18 months ago, with several hundred more jobs expected to be announced today.
A problem for the company, though, appears to be finding space to expand in the city, with Voxpro chief executive Dan Kiely hinting at potential Dublin plans should issues continue as the company expands.
Elsewhere in Cork, the private hospital Bons Secours is expanding, with the news of a new medical assessment unit, with construction and health worker positions set to be announced.
