PM Group – one of Ireland’s largest project management firms – has revealed it is to create 500 graduate jobs, following a profitable 2015.
Founded in Ireland in 1973, PM Group is now a multinational project management firm with over a dozen offices across the globe. Following a lucrative 2015, it will now be looking to expand its number significantly in Ireland.
The firm has reported operating profits of €10.9m for the end of last year, representing an increase of 21pc on 2014.
Despite a lower turnover of €297m in 2015, PM Group has said trading has improved year-on-year; with a 3pc increase in underlying fee revenues.
Following last year’s growth, the firm has now said that it plans to hire 500 graduates across its global operations over the course of the next five years.
Of that number, 250 will be based here in Ireland where it has offices both in Cork and Dublin. The roles will be across all engineering disciplines, as well as architecture, environmental, construction and project management.
100pc employee owned
When this latest recruitment drive has finished, PM Group will have over 2,700 staff across its offices, working on projects including biotech facilities, data centres and waste-to-energy facilities.
2015 also marked the year that the company became fully employee owned, following the acquisition of the 24.6pc stake held by Amec Foster Wheeler.
“I’m pleased to report another year of progress for PM Group, with an increase in underlying revenue and operating profit, and I’m delighted to announce that we have embarked on a significant graduate recruitment drive to fuel future development,” said Dave Murphy, CEO of PM Group.
The company chairperson, Dan Flinter, added: “As we pursue our business strategy, it is essential that we continue to attract the top talent across all disciplines who are interested in working on leading edge projects for international clients here in Ireland, and across our overseas markets. It is a mark of our ambition that we are recruiting 500 graduates.”
