Cloud computing firm Salesforce.com, along with Taoiseach Enda Kenny, TD, have announced 100 new jobs for Dublin in sales, marketing, IT and customer support.
Kenny was on-hand to open a new state-of-the-art 50,000 sq-foot office complex at No 1 Central Park in Leopardstown, Dublin.
This development forms part of the US-headquartered company’s continued investment in Europe and is Salesforce.com’s second office to be opened in Dublin.
“Ireland has played a key role in our success in Europe and we are delighted to be able to expand our reach in the region by hiring 100 more talented individuals in Dublin and opening a new office at No 1 Central Park,” said David Dempsey, senior vice-president of Salesforce.com.
Commenting on the announcement, Kenny said, “Ireland’s reputation as a ‘digital island’ acting as a European hub for the digital industry is growing rapidly as more businesses like Salesforce.com expand their operations here.”
Kenny added that Salesforce.com’s further investment in its Dublin base serves as a strong endorsement of Ireland’s strengths in the digital sector and the talent pool located in the country.
The Taoiseach also commented that Salesforce.com’s links to social, mobile and cloud computing align with the Irish Government’s focus on these fast-growing sectors.
