Ex-Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are bringing their new car show to Amazon Prime Video.
Former Top Gear presenters Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May have signed an exclusive contract with Amazon for a new car show on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service.
Amazon has pipped Netflix and ITV to the post for the coveted show. The development is, however, bad news for Irish fans who were hoping to see the former Top Gear presenters new vehicle because Amazon Prime Video is not yet available in Ireland.
Clarkson, Hammond and May left the BBC after Clarkson caused a storm of controversy after apparently punching one of the show’s producers because he wasn’t presented with a steak dinner after a day’s filming.
The new show is expected to launch in 2016 and will be exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video.

The show will be produced by ex-Top Gear executive Andy Willman.
Under the terms of the deal, Clarkson, Hammond and May will be committed to three seasons with filming set to begin in the autumn.
Meanwhile, Top Gear will return to BBC2 next year with an all-new line-up led by DJ Chris Evans.
“Customers told us they wanted to see the team back on screen, and we are excited to make that happen,” said Amazon Prime Video Europe vice president Jay Marine.
“We can’t wait to see what Jeremy, Richard, James and the team will create in what is sure to be one of the most globally anticipated shows of 2016.”
