Amazing Alex, Rovio’s follow-up to Angry Birds, has finally arrived

12 Jul 2012

We’ve been waiting for this one for awhile! Amazing Alex, a new puzzle game from the creators of Angry Birds which involves creating contraptions out of household objects, is finally available for iOS and Android.

Having teased us with the promise of Amazing Alex two months ago, fans of Rovio’s addictive Angry Birds games will be happy to finally get their hands on the developer’s latest physics-based puzzle game.

In the game, the titular Alex has a set of 35 interactive objects that users can employ to bounce, pop, ricochet, bash and crash into each other, creating Rube Goldberg machines to complete tasks.

Users can also share their favourite creations with their friends, even creating their own levels to share with users around the world.

Fun for all ages

“We’re so excited for our fans to meet Amazing Alex,” said Rovio’s executive vice-president of games Petri Järvilehto. “We’ve taken our time polishing a fantastic game and believe we’ve created something fun and accessible for all ages. We’ve had a lot of fun with the game, and we can’t wait to see what our fans come up with!”

With 100 levels across four locations, plus user-generated content, chances are Amazing Alex players will never be bored.

The app is available now from the App Store and Google Play at three different price points (free, €0.81 and €2.45) and Windows Phone, Mac and PC versions will follow soon.
