The cat from Irish TV series Love/Hate – otherwise known as Cleo in a non-showbiz guise – is going to meet chat-show host Ryan Tubridy on The Late Late Show tonight. And if you haven’t watched the Love/Hate episode that has generated all the cat talk, then stop reading now, as there’s a spoiler ahead.
Cleo’s storyline took a fatal turn on the season premiere of the crime gang drama earlier this week, when her ‘character’ was shot. Some viewers reacted by complaining to broadcaster RTÉ, and animal rights charity ARAN has even called for a boycott of Love/Hate.
The episode even sparked a parody Twitter account, Love/Hate Cat, which has attracted more than 600 followers thus far.
Now, activity on the microblogging site is stirring up again, as users react to the news about Cleo’s appearance on The Late Late Show, which kicks off at 9.30pm on RTÉ 1:
