AHK-toong BAY-bi Covered, the covers album of U2’s Achtung Baby which received a worldwide digital release just two days ago, has gone to No 1 in the iTunes sales charts in Ireland. It is at No 5 in the US and in the top 10 in most European countries.
The download album, released to benefit Concern’s emergency famine work in East Africa, has also gone to No 6 in Canada, No 7 in Australia, No 7 in Japan and No 4 in Germany.
The album will receive a UK digital release on Monday, 28 November.
It has also gone to No 1 in Portgual, No 2 in Italy, No 5 in Sweden, No 5 in Belgium, No 6 in The Netherlands, No 7 in Spain and No 9 in France.
Concern’s work in East Africa
