Small to medium enterprises (SMEs) are being targeted in a new online campaign that has been designed to increase customer loyalty and generate sales for An Post.
The latest campaign by An Post’s Mail Media Unit puts the focus on SMEs with a direct mail tool that will invite businesses to a website with a personalised URL.
From there, each company will be guided through some steps that outline how An Post feels direct mail can help them develop their businesses and grow profits.
Perfect tool
“Research has proven that direct mail is the perfect tool to help drive a business back to profit and that SMEs working in the B2B area in particular can see the results from using effective and powerful direct mail,” said Amie Peters, head of direct mail at An Post.
“While also being a great way to stay in touch with your customers, it is also a great way to drive your customers to your website.”
Research
An Post quotes research carried out by Amarach in summer 2010, which says 80pc of users find direct mail effective for generating new sales and new business leads.
The research also indicates that 72pc of Irish businesses that have enjoyed significantly increased revenues in the last 12 months are users of direct mail, and that 31pc of these SMEs intend to increase their direct mail spend in the next 12 months.
An Post recently released an iPhone app that lets users track and trace letters or parcels, which shows the progress of any bar-coded mail item, from delivery to acceptance.
