Following his success in Doodle 4 Google Ireland, six-year-old Harry Kane’s ‘My Perfect Day’ doodle is now live on Google.ie.
Kane’s colourful doodle came out on top as 74 finalists from around the country competed to get their sketch up on the world’s leading search engine.
Kane, of St Gerard’s School in Bray, also won a Chromebook and a €5,000 scholarship towards his studies. His school received €10,000 and his teacher also bagged a Chromebook.
“My perfect day is on my summer holidays. I love to swim in the sea, eat yummy ice cream, sail on a boat, fly my kite and build sandcastles,” said Kane.
The competition to find Ireland’s Google Doodle is now seven years old, with the number of entries rising each year. A record 5,085 applied this year, with Kane coming up trumps.

The competition is pretty cool, with other winning doodles in the past including Donegal’s Annie Coyle, who designed 2013’s winning Doodle 4 Google, inspired by her love of all things aeronautical.

Last year Kelly McCabe, from Scoil Carmel Junior National School in Firhouse, Dublin, took the honours.
