At the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics, diversity isn’t just for International Women’s Day – it’s for life.

The number of women in tech is abysmal. A recent report showed that top tech companies such as Apple, Facebook, Google and Microsoft are simply not creating diverse workforces.

Women at these companies account for 32pc, 33pc, 31pc and 26pc of total workforce, respectively. The numbers plummet further still when focusing solely on women in tech functions. At Twitter, just 15pc of tech jobs are filled by women.

While those numbers are improving year-on-year, there is still a long way left to go. At companies such as the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics (ACIA), Dublin, there’s a concerted effort to continue heading in the right direction.

Siliconrepublic.com headed down to the ACIA ahead of International Women’s Day to speak to some of the women employed by the company. They told us why they think it’s a great place to work.
