We visited the second BioPharma Ambition conference, an all-island event hosted in Dublin on 21 and 22 February 2018.
BioPharma Ambition welcomed 400 delegates and more than 40 local and international speakers over two days in Dublin.
Building on the inaugural event in 2016, BioPharma Ambition 2018 aimed to help the island of Ireland to plot a clear direction towards maintaining its status as a global hub for the ever-changing and ever-developing life sciences sector.
We spoke to delegates and speakers at the event, including Michael Lohan from IDA Ireland, Eibhlin Mulroe from Cancer Trials Ireland, Brendan O’Callaghan from Sanofi Genzyme and Scott Lawson from PwC.
Topics discussed throughout the event included advancing clinical trials and research, the industry’s next evolution towards biologics, and the next steps for biopharma manufacturing in industry 4.0.
BioPharma Ambition was hosted jointly by the Irish Pharmaceutical Healthcare Association (IPHA), Ibec’s BioPharmaChem Ireland and the National Institute of Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT).
