We spoke to some of the top biopharma employers in Ireland at NIBRT’s annual careers event about what they're looking for in potential candidates and tips on how to ace the interview.

Biopharma is one of Ireland’s fastest-growing sectors and continues to see strong demand from fresh graduates across the country.

We visited a recent careers fair organised by the the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT), where graduates met with representatives from some of the biggest biopharma companies in Ireland, including BMS, MSD and Pfizer.

Stephen Burke, associate director of global talent acquisition at MSD in Ireland, told SiliconRepublic.com that candidates should not be afraid to “go the extra mile” to show some of the contributions they’ve been able to make in their organisation.

“I think it’s important to show how you’ve been involved in initiatives around diversity or corporate social responsibility and making an impact on the business outside of your core nine-to-five responsibilities.”
