In the latest episode, Ann O’Dea chats with Barry Regan, executive vice-president of global operations at Dexcom, a fast-growing medtech company that develops simple and wearable glucose monitoring systems to help people manage their diabetes.
From his experience, Regan said empathy has become a key element of leadership, along with compassion, understanding and being able to “lead with enthusiasm”.
“Ultimately, leadership is a privilege and there’s no greater privilege than to lead people and to ask people to follow you,” he said.
