Diversity is one of the most important topics within the workplace right now, but companies must not forget that it goes hand in hand with inclusion.
While plenty of statistics and academic studies have shown that having a diverse workforce is conducive to a creative and innovative organisation, not all companies know how to execute diversity properly.
“Lots of organisations, I think, pay lip service to the terms diversity and inclusion,” said Oisín O’Gogáin, head of HR at the Aon Centre for Innovation and Analytics.
“What we really try to concentrate on is, actually, inclusion, which is: ‘How do you make that broad range of people feel welcome in the workplace?’”
